National PTA Reflections Art Program - Open for Submissions

The Bells Mill PTA Reflections Committee is now accepting student submissions for 2026-27 National PTA Reflections Art Program. This contest provides students with a platform for self-expression, helping them hone their creative talents and explore different art forms. It offers an opportunity to showcase their work, fostering pride and accomplishment.

Bells Mill students are invited to create and submit an original work of art inspired by this year’s theme: "What My Culture Means to Me". Our top Bells Mill submission will move on to the county level, with an opportunity to compete at the state and national level! Students can express their creativity through six artistic categories:

  • Dance Choreography

  • Film Production

  • Literature

  • Music Composition

  • Photography

  • Visual Arts

For more details, contest rules, and submission guidelines, please visit the Reflections Art Contest Page on the Bells Mills PTA website. If you have questions or need assistance with the online submission form, contact our Reflections Program Chairs, Gray & Erin Turner, at [email protected]

MCPS School Closures & Consolidations

Request for Community Input

MCPS is inviting families to share input as it considers potential elementary and middle school closures and consolidations in response to declining enrollment and limited resources.

October engagement sessions will focus on enrollment challenges, what schools should provide for students and staff, and how the decision-making process will work. December sessions will help shape the criteria used to evaluate potential changes. In-person meetings will include information stations, opportunities to ask questions and provide feedback, and multilingual staff support.

An update will also be presented at the October 8 Board of Education meeting, which can be watched live here: https://www.montgomeryschoolsmd.org/boe/meetings/live/
