Important Information - Trunk or Treat!
The PTA is excited to welcome all Bells Mill Elementary families to our annual Trunk or Treat event this Saturday, October 24, from 4pm. To make the event run smoothly and safely for everyone, we wanted to share some information in advance.
Parking: This year the event will be in the main school parking lot. Cars will not be able to enter or park in the main parking lot. The only people with access are those who signed up to host a trunk. Parking is available in the bus loop, at Cabin John middle school (bus loop and lot), and on neighboring streets. Please do not block or park on sidewalks, so everyone can get home safely.
About the event: The event will begin at 4pm with a costume parade. Children should assemble on the blacktop for a short parade around the parking lot. You’re welcome to walk with your child if they would prefer. Treating will not begin until the parade has ended, so please do not approach trunks until you hear the signal / horn!
Treating: Thanks to your generous donations, the PTA is supplying every car with candy and treats. Each trunk will have some non-candy and nut-free treats if needed. We ask that children only visit each trunk once.
Support 5th grade fundraising / drinks: Our fantastic 5th graders will be selling drinks (water, Gatorade, juice boxes, seltzer) at the event to help raise funds for their promotion activities. They will accept Venmo or cash.
Pizza pick-up: If you have pre-ordered a pizza, it will be available to collect from 5.30pm.
Event closure: The event officially finishes at 6pm but it usually winds down before then. If you can pick up any trash on your way out, we’d appreciate it.
